YMARC flying high

By Yarrawonga Chronicle

Yarrawonga Mulwala Adult Riding Club (YMARC) held its annual Alan Mitchell Show Jumping Clinic with great success over the weekend of July 25 and 26.

The event attracted many local riders who enjoyed the opportunity to train under the careful instruction of Alan.

YMARC were fortunate that the clinic was able to run adhering to strict social distancing and Covid-19 regulations at the time. Given the lack of equestrian events this year, it was great that riders were able to train and brush up on their skills for when competitions resume.

YMARC club president Kirsten Wheatley said “It was fantastic to see riders across all grades improve their skills and confidence jumping. Thank you to the riders who attended and club members who volunteered over the weekend, we have received some great feedback and will be running the clinic again next year.”

YMARC is a small and friendly equestrian club which meets on the 4th Sunday of each month (usually) at the grounds besides the showgrounds.

Upcoming rally’s include 3PE horsemanship in September and Show prep and riding in October (pending covid restrictions).

YMARC hosts a variety of events including Shows, SJ, Dressage and trail riding throughout the year and membership runs annually from November 1.
