Now with all its signage and livery in place, Echuca-Moama’s newest petrol station – Liberty Echuca – is also one of the few 24/7 enterprises in the region, let alone the twin towns.
With its 30 pumps it also has room for everyone; from mum’s taxi to the big rigs of the long haul industry (which have their own dedicated diesel pumps out back).
Owners Uday Reddy and Jay Sriharam might already be open for business but they are planning to launch Liberty Echuca with an official big bang today.
Running from 10am-1pm the men said it would include lots of giveaways – and a five-minute fuel frenzy giving you the chance to win free fuel.
Uday said the local response to the new station had already been encouraging and they were looking forward to meeting as many people as possible.
“Everyone in Echuca-Moama is invited, even if they are just curious and want to see everything our Liberty outlet offers,” Uday said.
“And even though we have all those pumps, including plenty of multi-product pumps, we also have plenty of other things to get pumped up about,” he grinned.
“Our Time Saver café includes $1 coffees, fresh juices, grab-and-go hot food, fresh sandwiches, burgers and chips, pizzas, noodles and Indian curries.
“You can refuel your car and yourself and all at the same time.”
Uday said Liberty has been – and will be – around for a long time and is a business that knows the Australian fuel industry well.
He said because the parent business is not a refinery, it’s not tied to the one fuel source and the one price.
“Liberty buys from a range of refineries, mostly Australian, to keep you, our customers, in regular supply,” Uday added.
“We’ve got the latest technology for convenience but Liberty still likes doing business the good old-fashioned way,” he said.
“And that’s talking face-to-face and listening to what our customers have to say.
“We make it our priority to give you a more personal, dedicated service.
“At Liberty Echuca we have the right people, with the right attitude.”
Uday said the partners selected Echuca to launch their business because they “really like the place”.
With a solid track record – of more than a decade – in the retail fuel business they have been excited about getting back into the industry with Liberty.
“It’s a brand with an eye on price and being competitive – while delivering a quality service experience,” Uday said.
