Beautiful golfing conditions resulted in some fine scores and close results in all grades.
Ross North held off Pete Whitbourn in A-grade with Pete on for two on the par-five sixth and holing a long putt for eagle.
Several Lockington residents in Kahl Oliver and Ian Maddison fought out B-grade and visitor Ben Strachan, who grew up in Echuca, took the C-grade honours.
Steve Bird eagled the par-four 15th after a fine drive onto the green.

Saturday, January 7:
A hole-in-one on 16th West to the “Doc”, Simon Locke, headlined Saturday’s privilege cup.
It was Simon’s fourth hole-in-one – a super effort.
Meanwhile, it was a four-way countback for the cup with Nev Toohey winning after having a nervous wait throughout the day, though his 23 points on the back nine was always going to be hard to beat.
Kev Lister won A-grade with Murray Roberts taking B-grade and Nev the C-grade major prize.
Glenn Rogers almost joined the Rich River hole-in-one club, just 9cm from the hole on four to claim the super-pin.

Golf committee member Jan McGuinness won a three-way countback over Liz McKinlay and Di Johnson, all finishing with 36 points. Karen "Fitzy" Fitzgerald took the nearest-the-pin and Karen Mose the super-pin.

Sunday, January 8:
With 101 players taking part there were some super scores in the medley stableford round.
Ryan Murphy had the best score of the day with 45 points to take the win in C-grade.
Michael Lizza's 42 won A-grade and Todd Fleming had 41 to win B-grade.
Visiting players featured in the winners' lists, with Peter De Haan from Rosebud Country Club taking third place in A-grade with 39 points and Heidelberg member Christopher Hinchcliffe coming second in B-grade with 40.
Gen Y member Shane McAuliffe made the third spot in B-grade with 38.

Monday, January 9:
Nine holes
Despite the heat there were 37 intrepid players in the nine-hole competition.
Liz Connick was top scorer for the round with 19 stableford points to win A-grade and B-grade was won by Jennifer French with 18 points on a countback to Nelliette Read.

18-hole medley
Judy Davey was the overall winner over 18 holes with 40 stableford points with Marilyn Morrell, our regular summer player from Elmore, taking second place with 39 from Dianne McMinn in third place with 37. Kate Burke had nearest-the-pin.
Tuesday, January 10:
The hot weather has arrived and so have the scores with Robin Quinn and Geoff Kelly winning A and B-grade respectively with scores of 42 points.
Handel Aubrey took the C-grade honours and Peter Rinaldi won two nearest-the-pins.
Gary Edwards won his second super-pin in a week. Surely he will buy a new pair of golf shoes as his current pair for some reason have been very tight of late.

Wednesday, January 11:
With temperatures a little lower than Monday's scorcher, 80 women took to the west course for a Split Sixes stableford round.
Dianne/Diane was a lucky name to have with four of the top three winning pairs sharing the same first name.
Dianne Johnson and Diane Symons were the winning pair on 67 points, followed by Jenny Kirkpatrick and Winnie Lavery on 66 and two more Diannes, McMinn and Byrne, took third place with 64 on a countback to Bernie Smith and Nola Bennett.
Diane Symons, Jenny Kirkpatrick and Dianne Byrne also scored a nearest-the-pin each.
Georgie Azzopardi had the top individual score of the day with 44 stableford points and also won the super-pin.
