Rochester strengthened its grip of top spot on the Campaspe Playing Area division one midweek pennant ladder on Friday.

The home side scored an impressive 15-67 to 1-51 win against Moama Steamers, a result which extended Rochy’s lead to 18 points.
Brian Trengove’s rink set the tone with a 26-17 defeat of Wayne Stephenson, while Kaye Barker recorded a 26-19 success against Olivia Cartwright.
The visiting Steamers collected a point after young gun Cameron Keenan played out a 15-all draw with Richard Feuk.

Mathoura leads the chasing pack after a strong 14-75 to 2-49 win on the road at Deniliquin.
Mark Quor’s rink, which featured Helen Holzer (third), Terry Taylor (second) and Garry Hulm (lead), landed a 34-7 win over Joanne Bovell.
Peter Holzer defeated Conway Bovell 27-21, but Linda Harris claimed two points for Deni courtesy of a 21-14 win against Christine Taylor.
Rich River leapfrogged Echuca into fourth spot on the ladder following a 14-85 to 2-64 win in the battle between the two clubs.

Gary Radford and Pam Hayes were the successful skips for Rich River.
Radford defeated Philip Thorn 31-19 and Hayes accounted for Roma Opie 27-16.
Leica Roney claimed two points for Echuca with a 29-27 defeat of Toni Beck.
Division two continues to prove a thrilling competition with just 16 points separating the top four sides.
Echuca leads the way on 141 points from Moama (140), Deniliquin RSL (133) and Mathoura (125).
All four of those sides recorded wins.
Echuca defeated Rochester 12-56 to 4-52 in a cracking contest, with Kristy Gillingham’s 24-7 win against Serena Sholl proving crucial as Rochester won the other two rinks (Jenny Major and Elaine Hall).
Mathoura overcame Tongala 14-60 to 2-50, with Moama claiming a clean sweep of the rinks in a 16-76 to 0-37 dispatching of Rich River.
Sandra Connolly, Terry Thomson and Mia Young were the winning skips.
Deniliquin RSL overcame a plucky Ky Valley View by 25 shots.
Division three saw wins to Echuca, Deniliquin, Moama and Elmore.
Echuca holds sway by nine points from Moama, with Elmore in third.
Deniliquin moved into fourth on superior percentage from Lockington thanks to a 55-19 win against Rich River and Lockington’s 14-57 to 0-31 loss to Moama.
