Normally an annual event, the tractor pull was last held in 2020.
That event attracted 1100 people, smashing the event’s attendance record.
And organisers are hopeful they will receive similar or better support this year after two COVID-19 impacted years.
This year The Down Under Modified Tractor Pullers Association will roar into Finley on February 18, setting the Finley Showgrounds alight with entertainment.
The gates will open at 3.30pm and the action revving down the main straight will start from 5pm continuing through the evening.
Finley Modified Tractor Pull committee secretary Paul Dundon said all signs point to a big weekend.
“Going on attendance numbers at other events around the region that are smashing records, we are hoping for a big crowd,” he said.
“The first pull for the year was cancelled, so we will be the first on the calendar.
“People will be chomping at the bit for some action.
“Hopefully the weather gods will smile upon us, but either way people need to clear their schedules and get their backsides track side.”
Mr Dundon said the Finley Tractor Pull is not just a chance to see some of the best competitors around.
It’s a great social event for the community which is of local economic importance also.
Down Under Modified Tractor Pullers Association president Brendon Cornfoot said it will be great to see the dust flying over Finley again.
“We are happy to be back after COVID, and it will be great to see everyone from far and wide come along and have fun,” he said.
Once the action starts you won’t need to wander too far from the arena, with food vendors, food trucks and a bar on site.
The event is strictly no BYO, and dogs are not permitted at the event.
Tickets are $25 per adult, $10 for children 16 and under and under 12s are free with an accompanying adult.
Family tickets, covering two adults and two children, are available for $50.
