Our Division Three bowlers tackled top-side Moama Steamers at Echuca Bowling Club.
Pleasant conditions were on offer as the two sides began the battle for a place in the grand final.
Our three teams settled in well, scoring across the board in the early stanza; however, the strong Moama Steamers were in for the battle and slowly gained the initiative to lead all three rinks, with the scoreline showing a 60-41 lead.
Despite a late revival, our Lockington bowlers had to lower their colours to lose the semi-final 51-63 and all rinks down.
Several members had a problem judging the pace of the green and this is where Moama Steamers gained the break.
Final scores: Moama Steamers 63 to Lockington 51. Score: Steve Pavone lost to B. Cuttriss 17-18 on the final end. Leanne McInnes lost to B. Harper 16-21 and Graham Turner lost to K. Awty 18-24.
