ORGANISERS have been forced to call off the 2020 Rochester Netball Invitational due to the threat of the coronavirus.

Last Friday, the government announced all non-essential mass gatherings of over 500 people were to be cancelled.
“Community Bank Rochester Netball Invitational committee would like to update you on the health concerns regarding COVID-19 and our tournament,” a statement said.
“With a total of over 500 people anticipated, we have made the hard decision to cancel the 2020 Community Bank Rochester Netball Invitational.
“The health and safety of our netball community is of the upmost importance to us and we fell that this step is necessary to aid in the prevention of the spread of the deadly virus.
“Please mark in your diary the 20th of March 2021 where the tournament will be back bigger than ever.”
