Paige Baksh powered Echuca to its third consecutive victory in Sunday’s Northern Country Women’s League clash against Nagambie.

Baksh booted six goals and Sophie Perkins starred for the Murray Bombers as they ran away 14.16 (100) to 0.0 (0) winners over the league newcomers at Victoria Park, remaining a game clear and undefeated on top of the ladder.

Baksh led the scoring with her half-dozen while Shani Millet booted three herself.

Remy Day, Jacqui James and Madison Elliot performed well around the ground for Echuca, while Breanna Davison, Kirstin Shaw and Courtney Smith battled hard for the undermanned Lakers.

The Murray Bombers will now look to their round four clash against Tatura this Sunday to make it a quartet of wins in the senior women’s competition, as their campaign to claim an elusive premiership continues.

Meanwhile, reigning premiers Nathalia fended off a determined Shepparton United to record a 3.7 (25) to 3.1 (19) win.

The Purples have just one loss to their name this season, and sit second heading into their scheduled bye.

In the Youth Girls competition, Moama also remains unbeaten after defeating Echuca United in the local derby.

The Pies were 95-0 winners thanks to big performances from Beth Morris, Shaleah Cooper, Grace McMillan (two goals), Katie Shanon (five goals) and Madeline Williams (three goals).

Meawhile, Ruby Wileman, Holly Formosa and Jada Bover flew high for the Eagles on a tough day.

In the other game of the round, Shepparton United defeated Nathalia 116-2.

Waiting in the wings for Moama in round four are reigning premiers and grand final opponents Shepparton Swans at Riordon Oval this Sunday, while Echuca United hosts the Demons at Echuca South Reserve.
