Designed by Auskick committee member and footballer parent Emma Arthur, the custom jumpers are a first for the local grassroots program.
Fully funded by Deniliquin Big River Real Estate, they incorporate design elements that celebrate all football clubs operating in the local area.
The colours used reference the Blighty, Deniliquin Rams, Deniliquin Rovers and Mathoura football clubs.
“This is to recognise that our participants are the future of football in the Deniliquin community,” Mrs Arthur said.
“We are so appreciative of the support to make this happen.
“They come complete with the Auskick name, and a custom design incorporating all the colours of the local football clubs.”
The guernseys will be worn by the older playing group on Auskick days, and at regional carnivals.
“A common feature of the Deni Auskick calendar is the Rand carnival, and next year we hope to host our very own,” Mrs Arthur said.
“We want local football clubs to support our Auskickers and we believe a guernsey that represents all their colours shows how much we value grassroots football and what it offers to our town.
“We would love to see more footballers and community members come down and watch our Auskickers, who are the future players of their clubs.”
Big River Real Estate owner Angela Carmichael said it was a “no brainer” to supply the guernseys after being approached.
“It’s my first year of Auskick this year, and it’s all about being inclusive in a fun, friendly environment,” she said.
“It’s more than just footy skills.
“We are proud to donate the guernseys and look forward to assisting in the future when needed.”
While Auskick has been running for several months already, a discounted mid-program sign up offer is available for anyone who still wants to join.
