For some, a good beer can be refreshing, strong-bodied, or simply be a familiar entity in the beverage stakes.
But for others, it’s another factor entirely.
A truly local flavour often inspires, and the Caledonian Hotel will be leaning on that theme at next Wednesday’s local beer night, which will have a distinctly local flavour on offer for patrons.
Three Echuca Moama beer brands — who either produce in the twin towns or have a strong connection to the area — are banding together for a local beer tasting at the Hare St venue, showcasing some of their finer offerings to pub-goers.
Two Lads, Bandicoot Brewing, and Travla are the companies combining for the event, which is set to take place on Wednesday, July 12, from 7pm.
Each brewer will present a beverage to be paired with a chef’s meal selection, with Two Lads to provide its American Red, Bandicoot Brewing putting forth its Belgian Bombshell, and Travla contributing its recently released ale, the brainchild of local exports Travis Fimmel and Xavier Campbell in conjunction with Masterchef Andy Allen.
The night will be MC’d by Alan Davidson, who is expecting a top turnout to support the locally produced brands in what will be the first night of its kind at the venue.
Tickets for the night will be $50 and bookings can be made at (03) 5482 2100.
