Grey clouds, cold weather and a light drizzle of rain didn’t stop Mathoura Public School students from performing exceptionally at their recent annual athletics carnival.

Students displayed impressive determination, athleticism and sportsmanship in the track and field events.

As expected, every student gave their best effort in each event they entered. Runners, jumpers and throwers displayed commitment and skill, with outstanding results achieved.
Senior boys: Runner-up Jobe Unwin and winner Chanze Egan.
Mathoura Public School athletes were fortunate to have incredible support from the school community, with parents, grandparents, family and friends lining the sidelines to cheer them on.
11 years boys champion: Jonathon Moorse.
There was plenty of action to keep spectators engaged, with students participating in a range of track events, including the 800m, 200m, 100m, as well as field events.
11 years girls: Runner-up Ava Wardlaw with winner Katelyn Eddy.
The sub-junior children participated in a fun-filled day that included taking part in track events, long jump, discus and a range of novelty events.
Junior girls: Runner-up Sophie Eddy with winner Bindi Taylor.
Gulpa was the winning house on 228 points, followed by Moira on 153 points.
