The memories of one year ago are still fresh in the minds of those who played, having gone down to Shepparton Swans 0.3 (3) to 4.6 (30).
It will be the same opponent they face at Deakin Reserve on Sunday, but there is a renewed belief amongst the group.

"We've got a good team, I'm feeling confident,” Moama’s captain, Bree Church, said ahead of the group’s final training session on Wednesday.
“We have only versed them once (this season) because they forfeit the second game. It will be a good game, but I think we're all a bit nervous, we just have to train well, and we'll see how we go."
Moama enters the decider off the back of a dominant 54-point win over Echuca United in the first semi-final last week.

Church, who was among the best for the Magpies in last year’s decider, is buoyed by the fact that her side has been in good form all season.
“It's been a bit annoying with having so many byes, but we have won almost every single game except for one, so it's been good,” she said.
Moama coach Matt Mackay agrees it has been a fantastic season for his side, with a noticeable improvement in the standard of football.

“It's been successful in regard to their own individual football growth,” he said.
“They've all improved out of sight which is the most important thing. Hopefully we get to win a grand final this weekend.”
Recent history will be against the Magpies, who are 0-6 against the Swans when both sides manage to take to the field.

“They'll be tough to beat, we need to do everything right,” Mackay said.
“We need to pressure really well just to keep it in our forward line, if they get it into their forward line, they've got a few dominant players.
“Hopefully we can keep it down our end of the ground and we'll kick a few goals and win.”

Moama will almost certainly enter the clash as the underdog, which is a positive position to be in, according to Mackay.
“There's always been lots of lower sides beat the higher sides throughout history, in all forms of sport,” he said.
“If you pressure up and do all the right things, tackle, chase, harass, the win will come."
“Hopefully they can have fun and pressure the mob who are sitting on top and a bit chirpy, if you like.”
