The nine-race card will intertwine with Echuca Moama’s Winter Blues Festival, running from July 27 to 31, featuring three artists complementing the action on the track.
Sweet Felicia and the Honeytones (12:10pm to 1:40pm), Anna Scionti (2:10pm to 3:40pm), and Dan Dinnen & Shorty (4:10pm to 5:20pm) will provide the soundtrack for Echuca’s third race meeting this month, with more than 500 people expected to attend.
“It’s an interesting mix of racing and music,” ERC manager Garry Armstrong said.
“All the free tickets we had have been snapped up. That will see around 500 people here for a start.”
While the Bureau of Meteorology is predicting a high chance of showers on Friday, Armstrong is hopeful the weather will behave, especially since strong fields are set to compete.
“Nominations are strong,” Armstrong said.
“Racing should be good; obviously, the track’s copped a fair bit of traffic over the last month. It’s feeling the effects of the winter racing, but with a reasonable weather forecast, it should be fine.”
General admission is priced at $15, with the first race scheduled for 12:30pm. A free shuttle bus service will commence from 11am at the Star Hotel, American Hotel, Caledonian Hotel, the Border Inn Hotel and the Moama Bowling Club.
