Twenty members played three games in wild, windy conditions.
The winner for the day was Jan Tracy, winning all three games with a plus-7

Rich River Croquet Club
October 11
In AC pennant, Rich River travelled to Shepparton to play the Shepparton/Numurkah team. Final score was Shepp/Num 3/85 to RR 3/79. RR was looking safe until Kevin Maloney (Shepp/Num) scored 10 hoops in time-on.
October 12
In Social play, 12 members played doubles. Alan Holding was the only player to win three games. The runner-up was Leon Koch, with two games plus-4 on a countback ahead of James Gunn.
RR Kangas were home to Shepp Magpies. Kangas started strongly to lead six games to two after the singles. The final score was Kangas 7/63 to Magpies 5/64. Sandra Retallick won three of four games.
Kyabram hosted RR Emus. For the second week in a row, Emus and Kangas seemed to be following the same game plan. Same strong start for Emus, with the end score being 7/66 to Kyabram 5/71.
October 17
Singles was played by 13 players. Sandra Retallick was the only player to win three games and finished on plus-10. Cheryl Lees was runner-up with plus-8. Hoops-in-one were scored by Dave Maher and John Quayle.
Congratulations to Cherie Lessing and sister Janine Sisson on winning seven of 10 games and finishing first in the doubles tournament at Quarry Hill last week.
