New editions of play equipment were recently delivered to Wirima Play Space at Rotary Park Rochester, Echuca East Open Space and Lions Park in Gunbower.
Mrs Lemon said that due to the modular design of the new play equipment, the impact on the community would be reduced.
“We understand the importance of ensuring the safety of both workers and park visitors, so we undertake rigorous site assessments, inspections and display signage to ensure the community is informed,” Mrs Lemon said.
“By implementing these risk management measures, Campaspe Shire Council is dedicated to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our community while making our parks more accessible and enjoyable for everyone.
Along with the new play equipment, accessible parking and footpaths will be installed following the amenity replacement at Rochester and Rushworth.
The council conducts accessibility and safety audits on design and installation to ensure projects meet Australian standards and best practices.
“With accessibility improvements to our public toilets and parking in our parks, we’re paving the way for a more inclusive and enjoyable outdoor experience for all,” Mrs Lemon said.
