Rochester won 52 to 57 shots.
Division three home to Moama Steamers Black
M. Macraild, R. Willis, J. Murray and B. Godden lost 13-21.
B. Smolenaars, D. Milgate, J. Limbrick and Bev Hetherington won 19-17.
Rochester lost 32 to 38 shots.

Ladies
Rochester morning fours was on Wednesday, October 25 with 72 players from visiting clubs Mathoura, Kyabram, Deni RSL, Shepparton Park, Moama, Echuca, Elmore, Deni, Locky, Rich River, Heathcote and Tongala.
In a trying wind, the ladies had a very successful day with the winners being:
Moama, skippered by Sue Holmes, Judy Eastwell, Lyn Snell and Colleen Moslen with 81 points.
Runners-up from Echuca were Rhonda Gallagher, Joan Dovaston, Pam Lewis and Joan Moss.
The club would like to thank Glenda and Brian Nichol from Nichol Trading for generously sponsoring the day.
Thanks must go to all our club members for all the volunteering to make the day so successful.
Men
Congratulations to Francis Keech and Graham Prince on reaching the final of the B Grade Championship. Date of event TBA.
Draws for 21-up and 100-up with first round to be completed by Sunday, November 12.
The first listed player on the draw should contact their opposition to arrange the match.
Men’s pairs draw closes on Saturday, November 4.
Social bowls
Winners on October 27 were Jane, Joan, Judy and Glenda.
The raffle winner was Cheryl Lethlean.
No social bowls on Friday, November 3. Instead it will be drawn fours with names to be put in the clubhouse, 10am start.
Thursday pairs on October 26, three-bowl pairs results
There were eight teams on four rinks but only two two-game winners.
Runners-up were Kevins Burrow and Hall. The winners were Les Wallis and Rob Dennis.
November 2 will be 2/4/2 pairs. List in the foyer.
Names in by noon, start at 1.30pm.

Pennant practice
Pennant practice will be on Thursday nights from 4pm for weekend pennant from now on.
Barefoot bowls events
In partnership with Rochester Bowls Club, the Campaspe Shire Flood Recovery Team is holding two more barefoot bowls events for residents.
The first night on October 27 was a huge success, with the big green full of barefoot bowlers and club helpers.
Thanks to all those who helped in any way and the shire for its help.
Lockington Bowls Club
A small field for the weekly social bowls on Friday – the tallest player was about 157cm. The winner on the day was Pauline Humbert with 20 points. Daylight second!
On Tuesday evening there was a good roll-up for the popular barefoot bowls. Only one team emerged as a two-game winner. The magnificent trio skipped by Daniel Answer along with Shane Felmingham and Brooke Coghill scored two wins plus eight shots to claim the chocolates. Two teams finished with a win and a tie.
The previous week there was crowd of 30 players to enjoy the evening. The winning team comprised Poss Andrea, Cindy Felmingham and Ray Hanson (s) with two wins plus 13 shots, ahead of Shane Felmingham and Steve Pavone (s) with two wins plus eight shots
The second round of Campaspe Area Pennant was completed on the weekend with an overall 75 per cent positive result for the club.
In the midweek pennant our women went back-to-back defeating Echuca at home 42-34 and one-and-a-half rink wins (Denise Gilmore d D Ricketts 21-13; Phyllis MacFarlane tied with M Bennett 21-all). The teams retained their third place on the premiership ladder.
The weekend pennant resulted in a victory for division three over Rich River in a massive result to almost double its opponent’s score, winning 74-37 with all rinks saluting (Leanne McInnes d A Linquist 26-14; Jim Harris d J Stuart 17-11; Phillip Cunnington d J James 31-12). The division three side is placed in fourth spot on the ladder.
Division four played Deniliquin RSL at home and recorded a close five-shot victory 59-54. (Dave Thomas lost to B. Ferry 15-27; John Whiteside d J. Wilson 19-14; Denise Gilmore d N. Austin 25-14). Division four is in sixth place.
Division five tried valiantly in its match away against Tongala before losing 37-49 (Kalvin Stout lost to B. Campbell 19-27; Neil Haines lost to R. Kellett 18-22). Division five occupies seventh place on the ladder.
Several teams have represented the club at various tournaments in the local district including Cohuna Golf, Elmore, Stanhope and Echuca Bowling clubs. Excellent hospitality, but no spoils to bring home.
The Friday evening barbecue and pennant practice sessions have been well attended. The lucky members draw favoured Frank Chugg but unfortunately Frank had left the premises after cooking the first-class meal on the “barbie” alongside Andy Harris.
On Sunday, the social committee has organised a Melbourne Cup sweep with a twist. All welcome with finger food and great bar prices. All this is happening at the Lockington Bowls Clubhouse starting at 2pm.

Echuca Bowls Club
Monday’s Social Bowls last week saw the only two game winners in Laurie Quinn, Peter Foran and Barry Bennett (+3)take the spoils from Peter Ryan, Ann Bennett and Elaine Roberts (one +4).
Forty four bowlers rolled up on Thursday for jackpot pairs where there were nine teams who won both their games.
Best on the day were Col and Evan Berryman (+23) from Ian Parkinson and Geoff Tinning (+22). Best one game went to Eddie Smith and Noel McMaster (+20).
Fridays Scroungers saw Gaye Goodwin take home the chocolates from Joan Moss.
On Melbourne Cup Day the club is hosting a bowls and luncheon day commencing at 11am for bowls followed by lunch at 1 pm with sweeps and activities.

Midweek Pennant on Wednesday last week saw Division One the only winners with a comfortable 24 shot victory against Deniliquin.
Best rink went to Kerryn Evans, Phillip Thorn, Pat Schram and Ivan Hicks (+10).
Division Two lost by 5 shots overall with Bernie Johns, Marie Malone, Virginia Kalsbeek and Lorelle Opthoog the best performers with plus 6.
Division Three lost to Lockington by 8 shots overall with Max Bennett, Linda Ormando, Joan Dovaston and Lisa Humphreys playing a 21 all draw.
Weekend Pennant brought home mixed results with Division’s one, two and five white suffering losses while Division’s three, four and five blue won.
Division one went down to Mathoura by six shots with Jim Ferrier’s rink picking up one point for a 17 all draw.
Division two went to Rich River on all rinks to suffer a 25 shot thumping.
Lee Beattie, Trevor Liddell, Greg Clymo and Col Berryman scored an eight but were well beaten by 12 shots.
Division three had a hard fought 7 shot win against Deniliquin away with the best performance coming from Kevin McGreevy (s), Daryl LaVelle, Chris Campbell and Bill Cook with 11 shots up.
Division Four had a comfortable 32 shot victory over Stanhope with the best rink going to Tony Deenen, June Clifford, Steve Morgan and Steve Campion 27/10.
Division five resulted in a 10 shot win for Blue against Rochester with Kevin Bursill (s), Joan Dovaston, Keith Robertson and Kevin McAsey the best performers with plus 6.
White went down to Moama by 17 shots overall despite Bernie Johns (s), Mike Redapple, Ros Neil and Laurie Quinn having a seven shot victory.
The mini Bingo sitting at $4000 finally went off with Nathan Wells being the lucky recipient. The kitty starts at $1290 this Friday night at drinks and nibbles.
Col Berryman was drawn as the lucky member but was not present so the members draw is $140 this Friday.
Moama RSL
Indoor Bowls Results
Twenty-four players played three games of 10 ends. The winners on 50 points were Joan Heals (Skip), Colin Hicks (3rd), and Jean Shelly (Lead).
Runners-up with 38 points were Ken Hopper (Skip), Sue Underwood (3rd), and Mary Kaine (Lead). Third prize on 37.5 points were Pamela Reyment (Skip), Janine Wolfe (3rd), and Lyn Prott (Lead).

Club Championship (Men’s and Ladies 2 Bowl Final)
Lady finalists were B. Murray and G. Kerr, who both played well to make the final.
Beryl defeated Gail to win the final and become Champion for 2023.
Men’s finalists were P. Holzer and G. McConchie (Wallie). Both had won good games to make the final.
Peter defeated Wallie to win the final and become Champion for 2023.
Men’s 25-up Club Singles Championship games have started to be played, please keep the games going. Check the board at the Bowls Office for your play date and arrange games as soon as you both can play.
It is now a very busy time of year with Pennant, Club Games, and Tournaments all happening. Support other clubs when you can by playing Tournaments, they keep clubs going. Good bowling to all, see you on the green somewhere, good health to all.
Vale Lindsay (Gabbie) Hayes
It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to Gabbie.
To his Wife Kath and family we extend our condolences to you all. Gabbie was a great clubman and everyone that met him was his friend.
He won a club Men’s Pairs Championship, B-grade Singles Champion and played in Pennant winning sides. We will miss seeing him at the club for his afternoon drink with Dave Murray.
I know the greens are good where you are now, thank you for being here as a player and a friend.
