Geoffrey Beattie and Michael Linehan skipped their rinks to big wins for Moama, winning 34-10 and 25-9 respectively, while Robert Ponton claimed one rink for Stanhope. However, the 17-15 win was not enough to make significant inroads to the deficit.
Rochester travelled to take on Deniliquin, but found the host a tough opponent, losing 14-68 to 2-51, its first defeat of the season.

Rochester’s lone success came on the rink featuring skip Richard Feuk, Kaye Barker (third), Graham Willis (second) and Heather Curnick (lead), defeating Deniliquin’s Jamie Shields 23-15.

The eight-shot margin was whittled away as Deniliquin’s Mark Quor powered to a 33-14 success over Rochester’s Brian Trengove.
Deni’s Shane Laing sealed the major points for the home side, accounting for John Weeks 20-14.

Rich River and Tongala played out an absolute thriller in the grand final rematch, as Rich River claimed a 12-55 to 4-53 win.
Bradley Tinning led a tight 18-16 win in the first rink for Tongala, before Matthew Liverton skipped the reigning premier to a 21-14 shot victory in the second rink, extending the lead to nine shots.

But Rich River had other ideas, with Steve Pavone, Ron Ritchie, Peter Moon and Alan Polak dragging their side to an unlikely victory, defeating Tongala 25-14 in the final rink to claim the overall win by two shots despite winning just the one rink.
Mathoura proved too good for Echuca in their clash, with the home side prevailing 15-61 to 1-55.

It was a 17-17 tie in the first rink, as neither of skips Jason McCloy (Rich River) or James Ferrier (Echuca) were unable to give their respective side the lead.
The Mick Humphreys-skipped Mathoura snuck ahead by a shot in the second rink, securing a tense 21-20 win, before Peter Holzer secured the overall win for the home side with a 23-18 win in the final rink.

Division two
Moama’s 14-60 to 2-56 win over Deni RSL ensured it finishes round two atop the division two weekend pennant ladder, undefeated and two points clear of second-placed Mathoura.
The Steamers claimed 21-19 and 22-16 wins in rink two and three respectively, while Deni RSL enjoyed success in the first rink, winning 21-17.
Mathoura also remains undefeated through two rounds following a 12-58 to 4-51 win over Deniliquin at home.
The host lost the first two rinks 19-20 and 16-17 as Deniliquin held a slender lead, however it powered home to win the final rink 23-14 to secure the overall win.
Rich River weas dominant in its match against Echuca, sweeping all three rinks en-route to a 26-shot win, claiming victory 16-82 to 0-56.
Tongala and Rochester played out a 56-all draw, each claiming a single rink by four shots, while tying the remaining rink 19-19 to split the points.
Division three
Stanhope remains undefeated at the top of the division three ladder following an emphatic 16-78 to 0-41 win over Mathoura, while Moama remains hot on its heels after accounting for Deni RSL 14-62 to 2-56.
Lockington swept Rich River, claiming all three rinks in the 16-74 to 0-37 win, as did Elmore over Rochester, winning 16-78 to 0-39.
It was a closer affair between Echuca and Deniliquin, with Echuca claiming two rinks on the way to the 14-61 to 2-54 victory.
Division four
Moama completed a clean sweep of Tongala, routing the visitors 16-81 to 0-49 to remain the unbeaten ladder-leaders at the end of round two.
Echuca also claimed a whitewash over Stanhope, recording a huge 16-76 to 0-44 victory to join Moama as the only other undefeated side at the end of round two.
Rich River joined the trend, comfortably dispatching Ky Valley View 16-72 to 0-40, while Lockington proved too good against Deni RSL, winning 14-59 to 2-55.
Division five
Echuca continued a promising start to the season by beating Rochester 14-42 to 0-32 and sending itself to the top of the table.
Moama Steamers Green sit second following its 12-51 to 2-34 win over Echuca White, while Tongala produced a resounding 14-49 to 0-37 win over Lockington.
Moama Steamers Black and Elmore played out a draw in the final match of the round, unable to be separated on 7-41 apiece.
