The country’s number one female bowler and winner of the Australian Open singles winner was announced as a member of the Right At Home Jackaroos 2024 squad on November 1, becoming a full-blooded member of Australian Bowls top flight.
It caps off a superb year on the greens for the 29-year-old, who, after claiming the singles title on the Gold Coast in August, earned the country’s number one ranking, a title that Millerick has retained in the recent ranking update.
Millerick comes in for retiring Jackaroo Lynsey Clarke, and head coach Gary Willis said he was excited to see what the Moama bowler and the rest of the side could achieve next year.
“We are extremely excited by the 2024 Right at Home Australian Jackaroos squad and the bolstered contingents, which reinforces the outstanding depth of talent to choose from within the country,” Willis said.
“The program has certainly grown and developed over the past 12 months, and the Jackaroos have enjoyed a purple patch, with a record-breaking performance at the World Bowls Championships among the highlights.
“The team embarks on a new era in 2024, with an absence of players that have been stalwarts of the national squad for the better part of two decades, flying the flag for what it means to be a Jackaroo.
“I would also like to acknowledge the work of our pathways coaches and the pathways program with many of their players transitioning and being promoted into emerging and open squads.”
Another in the Australia program is young Moama ace Cameron Keenan, who also received some good news from the announcements.

Keenan will retain his place in the Pathways Jackaroos side, with the promising talent set to continue his development among the green and gold.
Meanwhile, Millerick’s focus will turn to BPL18 at Club Pine Rivers, which begins next Monday.
Moama is the reigning Bowls Premier League champion, with the unchanged line-up including Millerick, Aron Sherriff and Ryan Bester, with Kevin Anderson as the coach.
