Bell claims 2024 Wharf to Winery title in epic battle

Luke Bell claimed the 2024 Wharf to Winery swim on Sunday after a thrilling battle against Regan Hollioake, with the two going head-to-head for the entire race.

Former professional Ironman triathlete Bell covered the 3km distance through the Port of Echuca to Morrisons Winery in 24 minutes 26 seconds, just three seconds ahead of Hollioake in second.

While unable to pinch the overall win, Hollioake adds the women’s Wharf to Winery crown to her collection, which now boasts a three-peat of Echuca Moama triathlon women’s titles after wrapping up her third consecutive victory on Saturday night.

The 2024 edition of the Wharf to Winery swim also included a new 1.5km race, with Henry Burriss (17:08) and Isabelle Donoghue (17:48) the first two swimmers across the line to take out the men’s and women’s categories, respectively.
