“It was all our son Nate’s idea,” Glenn Murrells said.
“He saw it somewhere else and decided that he would like to give it a try.
“We had a look to make sure that it was going to work and everything, but we like to encourage him to do things he’s passionate about.”
Starting this Friday, people are invited to come to 474 Stratton Rd, Echuca West and spend time in the Murrells’ sunflower fields.
“I think there are 50 acres of sunflowers there, and people can just get lost among them and really enjoy nature,” Mr Murrells said.
“You can get your own sunflowers and take photos with your whole family.”
People can pick their own sunflowers or get pre-cut sunflowers for either $4 per stem or $10 for three. It is cash only as there are no EFTPOS facilities available.
Locally made jewellery and kids’ items are also available for purchase.
The experience is $10 for people aged 12 and older, and people are encouraged to wear sturdy, enclosed shoes and a hat.
