Round 13 match results

With the end of the season looming it is unlikely there’ll be any change in the first division ladder.

Again, the games went fairly well as expected although The Shoeless, who still remain winless, came very close to beating Falcon Hasbeens, only going down 6-5. Seasoned veteran Max Crilly dashed their hopes by pegging 24 in the team’s game. The Shoeless only needed 45.

Misfits were again too strong for Projectile Dysfunction, winning 8-3 to remain undefeated, and in the final game, Double Trouble had a comfortable 7-4 win over P*ssheads.

There is room for plenty of change in the second division. Top team Warriors remains undefeated by overcoming Passouts 7-4. However, both teams are safely into the finals.

Pastoral Pirates, who had the bye, are tentatively hanging on to third place but can be overtaken by both Tonny Terrors and Ocheholics. Ocheholics’ 7-4 win over Tonny Terrors gives them an outside chance.

Tonny Terrors still have the bye to come so it is essential for them to beat Pastoral Pirates next week. Nail-biting stuff.

Individual highlights

The outstanding player this week was Michael Cassar. Michael threw the highest average of 27.42, had a 14-dart game and threw 12 x 100+ scores.

The highest peg of 117 went to Joanne Hadley and Andrew Beaumont threw a 110 finish. There were five 180s in division one, The Shoeless father-and-son team was responsible for three of them, Daff hitting two, and Marcus hitting one. Dylan Oaff and Max Crilly accounted for the other two.

Division two stats saw Rob Molnar throw the highest average with 16.03, while Trevor Kent threw the shortest leg with 21 darts as well as the most tons with nine.Trevor also had the highest peg with 67.

Six EMDA players to represent Victoria

An outstanding result for Echuca players Janine Cassar, Jodie Oakley, Dylan Oaff and Michael Bajowski, who were all successful in making the Victorian state team.

They join other local players Joanne Hadley and Michael Cassar to play in the Australian championships at the Rich River Golf Club between August 5 and 11 later this year. That’s six players out of 16 coming from our ranks. Incredible.
