Tongala footballer and number one draft pick, West Coast’s Harley Reid is now ineligible for the AFL’s Rising Star award after his two-game suspension was upheld by the AFL tribunal.

Reid was a favourite to win the award, having logged 17.8 disposals and 4.9 clearances per game, and kicking eight goals as part of an improved Eagles outfit this year.
The league’s match review officer charged Reid with rough conduct after being cited for slinging St Kilda’s Darcy Wilson to the ground.
The incident was graded as careless contact, high impact and high contact.
Reid can next feature for the Eagles on June 30 against Hawthorn.

Echuca’s Ollie Wines is downplaying trade rumours amid interest from North Melbourne in the 2021 Brownlow medallist.
Wines still has two years remaining on his deal with Port Adelaide and is said to have his focus firmly on the Power’s chase for the premiership.
Port is holding onto a place in the top four thanks to a superior percentage to Carlton.

After a dismal start to the year, the premiers rebounded with a seven-game unbeaten stretch, a run that was broken this weekend when the Pies fell to the Western Bulldogs.
