Campaspe Shire residents rally to ‘save our pools’

Blue and white message: Tay, Tannah and Tahnee Bannister from Nanneella felt strongly enough about the recommendation to close the pools, put before the Campaspe Shire Council on Wednesday night, that they made the trip to Echuca to protest the proposal.
Extra effort: Aimee O’Mara and Harper Delamare show messages which were typical of the enthusiastic and energetic response from the Campaspe Shire community.
About the kids: Allan and Margaret Howard from Rushworth were on hand to fight for the future of their community outdoor pool, which they say is vital for the schools and kindergarten of the town.
Ready to represent: Councillors mingled with the pool rally participants prior to getting down to business. Councillor Paul Jarman was among half a dozen councillors seen receiving messages from those in attendance.
Wrapped with the result: Prior to the announcement that the pools would not be closed Brock and Hudson Polglase showed their support with their swimming towels for the Save our Pools campaign.
