Johnny Ray added to the recent list of A-grade monthly medal winners when he had a fine nett 64. Karl Mathers had the next best nett score to comfortably win B-grade. It was a close C-grade event with Mark Lyons beating Brendan Kneebone in a countback. Aaron Loader is in career-best form and had his second under par round in three days.

Judy Davey was in form again to take third place in B-grade on Sunday, countbacks determining the winners as they all had 70 nett. Troy Kenny had the overall best score and A-grade win with 65.

Monday, January 17:
June Mills turned in a great nine-hole score of 31 nett to win Monday's competition, but close on her heels in second place was Megan Murdoch with 32 and Diane Watson was third with 33.

Jennifer Todd was under par with 69 nett to take the win in the medley event, from Elena Roylance, second with 70 nett on a countback from third-placed visitor Henk Van De Ven (70).
Tuesday, January 18:
Lots of highlights from Tuesday’s event off the red tees with Troy Kenny continuing his blistering form shooting six under par to win A-grade. Max Prendergast won for the second Tuesday in a row and Stojko Kresojevic achieved a rare feat when he eagled two holes in the one round. “Bulldog” Noel Dixon won a big super-pin and former Australian cricketer Graham Yallop won a nearest-the-pin.

Lorraine De Ravin was January's monthly medal and A-grade winner with a 66 nett on the east course with Liz Easther not far behind on 68. Cath Kelly took the win in B-grade with 69 and Gillian Crawford was top in C-grade with 71. Leanne Cregan won the super-pin.

Rich River veteran golfers
On Friday, January 14 81 players ignored the weather forecast for rain and played an individual stableford event on the west course.
Nelliette Read won the ladies’ B-grade event with 38 points and the best score of the day. Runner-up was Lorraine Bowman who scored 36 points on a countback from Mary Boek. Maree Ciavarella took out the A-grade event with 34 points on a countback from Marilyn Robbins. NTPs were won by Chris Fleming, Cheryl Ashworth, Mary Boek and Suzan Hutton.
Acting Captain Rob Kilgour took out the men’s A event with 35 points, one ahead of Len Drill and John Moyle. Leigh Robins won B-grade also with 35 points on a countback from Barry Gallagher. NTPs were won by Keith McCormack, Ken Ashworth, Ian Hutton and Bruce Fleming.
The next event will be February 11. Committee nominations open January 21 and close February 11. Nomination forms can be collected, and retuned to reception at RRGC. The AGM will be held March 4.
