The local business was named the Jaycar Reseller of the Year for Victoria and Tasmania.
There are over 30 Jaycar resellers in Victoria and Tasmania, but only five were nominated for the award.
Switched On Electronics director Michael Deola said the award came as a surprise.
He attributed the recognition to his team’s hard work in the increasingly tough economy.
“It was a surprise, we certainly weren’t expecting to win,” he said.
“The main thing for us is the recognition of the staff for their customer service and product knowledge and the fact that they can get sales in these increasingly difficult times.
“We thank the loyal staff for supporting the business as well as our loyal customers.”
The nominees for the award were required to meet specific criteria in order to be considered.
The criteria included sales growth, credit compliance, participation in marketing brochures, store appearance, at least 12 months as a reseller, and a 95 per cent compliance rate with the core product range.
After meeting the criteria, they then had to be nominated by their business development manager and awaited a final decision by the Jaycar Resellers regional manager Australasia.
The three-day conference took place in Parramatta, Sydney, from August 9 to 11, with Jaycar resellers from Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific islands in attendance.
It was the first conference hosted since 2019, offering a much-needed update on the latest solutions and innovations in the electronics industry.
