It was a busy last day of the school term for Lockington Consolidated School as it finished the term with a footy colours day.
The students were dressed in an array of colours as they proudly represented their favourite teams.
School principal James Hodgens said the students and staff have enjoyed the day.
“It’s been awesome fun ... there’s been a lot of heckling but all in good fun,” he said.
“They didn’t have to wear footy colours, they could wear their basketball or netball shirts or whatever, but most of them wear footy just so they can get up and do the little [parade].”
The school started the day with a parade, giving students and teachers alike a chance to find their footy allies and to banter with other teams’ fans.
The Richmond Tigers were well represented by the students, clearly showing themselves as the most popular team on the day.
During recess the students and teachers took to the field to show off their footy skills.
The students also hosted a dance show on the oval, showing off their acrobatic skills and original dance moves.
