This funding will support the creation of a brand-new role for the South West Arts supported project.
A creative industry youth development officer will be appointed to work with young people across the South West region of NSW to grow their skills, confidence, and creativity in media and the arts.
South West Arts executive director Kerry-Anne Jones said the project is an important step in supporting the next generation of creative talent in the region.
"This funding helps us keep investing in young people, especially those who might not always get the same opportunities - like First Nations youth, people from different cultural backgrounds, and those living in remote or disadvantaged communities,’ she said.
ENDFM has become a platform for young voices and creative ideas, and Ms Jones this new project will take things even further.
“It’s a big step forward for the station.
“We’re making it easier for young people in rural areas to explore digital media, learn new skills, and see real pathways into creative careers.”
