Moama has flown back into the winners’ column with a resounding victory over Cobram in round eight of Murray Netball League.

Moama held a strong lead for the entire game at Scott Reserve court one, starting with a 14-goal first quarter to lead by six.
The Magpies backed up their strong start in the second period, finding the net 15 times to extend its already solid margin.
The Tigers struggled to score in the lead-up to half-time, with Moama defenders Abby Larkin, Lisa Drysdale and Ava Richards proving solid.

The Magpies had their leanest run of goals in the third term, scoring eight, but it didn’t matter, as Cobram could only tick over the scoreboard thrice by three-quarter time.
The Tigers’ best scoring effort came down the stretch, with the hosts finishing their day with 11 goals, but by that time it was too little, too late.
A 17-goal final frame from Moama blew its opponents out of the water, as the visitors clocked a 30-goal margin by the full-time siren.
The final score was Moama 54 to Cobram 24.
In B-grade action, Cobram fell to Moama 35-45, while the tables turned in C-grade where Cobram inched home in a thrilling contest to take a 49-42 victory over the visitors.
Meanwhile, the Tigers’ C-grade reserve outfit continued its strong form, winning 48-23.
Cobram faces a contest with Barooga at home again for round nine.
