With quite a few players out, the Emus battled hard all day, going down by 10 points in a tight contest.
Goal scorers for the day were Mark Van Poeteren 2, Mark Battiscombe 1, Tanner Christie 1 and Lucas Walker 1.
In perfect conditions, the Emus started slowly but worked their way into the game with many contributors throughout.
Damian Hammond, voted best on ground by the opposition, was fantastic down back and when thrown forward in the last quarter, continued with some great leads and marks.
The midfield showed their experience, with the likes of Lucas Walker and Chris Hagan leading the way with great attacking football.
Phil Arnott and Toby McCoy were busy on the wings and never stopped trying.
Nathan Marsh used his sharp skills to advantage, setting up many attacks from the half back.
A lot of positives taken from the game and that next win is not far off.
The Emus next face Ballarat (away) on Saturday, June 22.
Another great opportunity to play against quality opposition.
Training takes place every Wednesday from 6pm at Echuca South oval.
All players new and experienced turning 35 this year or over 35 are most welcome to come along and have a go.
