Police conduct safety check on object located on Ride Ave naturestrip

A Victoria Police spokesperson confirmed what was going on.

“Police were in Ride Ave, Benalla conducting a safety check after an item was located on a naturestrip earlier this morning,” the spokesperson said.

“As a precaution, the area was cordoned off, and the item was checked and made safe.”

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
