Ruud van Nistelrooy has agreed to terminate his contract as coach of English soccer club Leicester.

The former Netherlands striker took over at Leicester in November on a contract through to June 2027, but couldn't prevent the side from being relegated after they finished the Premier League season in 18th place.
Leicester said they are now looking for his replacement.
The club thanked Van Nistelrooy for his "dedication and hard work", while the former Manchester United star wished the team well for the future.
Van Nistelrooy was appointed at the King Power Stadium in November but was unable to steer the club away from danger, with a return to the Championship confirmed with five games of the season still to play.
The Dutchman called for clarity on his future after their relegation at the beginning of May, but has had to wait, with the club finally confirming his exit on Friday morning (local time).
The 48-year-old Van Nistelrooy, regarded as one of the Premier League's best ever strikers, previously coached Dutch side PSV Eindhoven and acted as an interim coach for Manchester United.
Leicester face the possibility of a points reduction in the Championship next season for a possible breach of financial rules.
