Rovers bounced back from their first loss with a gritty win over Katandra, in a tightly contested clash on their home court.
The opening quarter was evenly matched, but strategic positional changes - including Chloe Brown moving into the circle, and Carissa Bulmer taking control at wing attack - helped Rovers gain momentum and a four-goal lead at half-time.
Both sides applied relentless defensive pressure, but the ever-reliable pairing of Chrissy Hurst and Natalie Sampson proved crucial once again, disrupting Katandra’s attack and swinging the game in Rovers’ favour.
With this determined performance, Rovers secure another valuable win and strengthen their hold at the top of the ladder.

B-grade: Deni Rovers 43 def Katandra 37.
Rovers returned to the winners’ list after a tough fortnight, overcoming a determined Katandra side by six goals.
Despite close defensive pressure from their opponents, Rovers gained the early advantage and maintained control throughout the match.
Strong efforts from Georgia McCulloch and Bell McIlwain forced multiple turnovers, while Erika Martin, ably supported by multiple shooting partners, kept the scoreboard ticking over.
A comfortable lead at three-quarter time allowed the team to experiment with new positional combinations as they work toward finding their strongest setup for the remainder of the season.

C-squad: C-grade 55 def Katandra 28; C-res 46 def Katandra 28.
C-grade and C-reserve both played four consistent quarters of netball, and it was pleasing to see the players putting skills and strategies we've been working on at training into practice.
Both grades were able to capitalise on turnovers with accurate shooting, showcasing strong teamwork and determination throughout the matches.
Looking ahead, both teams will benefit from maintaining composure during centre pass opportunities to further convert our own possession into goals.
Every player who took the court contributed to the overall success of their team, making the selection of awards a tough task, but the wins all the more rewarding.
In C-grade, Britt Kirby showed strong drives, composure, and excellent passing accuracy, while Paige Brown showed great accuracy, strong holds and consistent movement in the circle.
In C-reserve, standouts were Millie Joice who displayed consistent shooting accuracy and smart passing within the ring, and Jemma Kerr, who showed great court awareness and strong drives throughout the game.
Under-17s: Deni Rovers 69 def Katandra 20.
The Rovers under-17s displayed a composed and structured style of play, capitalising on turnovers and creating strong opportunities across the court.
Ruby Pisasale and Eve Meharry had a sharp eye for the ball, producing crucial intercepts for the team.
Lucy Herberte played with confidence, delivering beautiful, well-timed passes into the shooters.

Under-15s: Deni Rovers 46 def Katandra 9.
The under-15s continued to show their versatility and determination against Katandra.
The defence worked tirelessly all game to get hands to ball and confuse space.
Our mid-court showcased their speed and quick hands, supporting our hard-working goal ring.
There were plenty of turnovers throughout the game. With the girls only converting half of these it gives us a focus for training going into the next round.

Under-13s: Deni Rovers 33 def Katandra 2.
The U13 Rovers continue to take charge on the court, defeating Katandra 33-2.
Peggy O’Donnell has permanently stepped up into the U13 Rovers for the remainder of the season, with an unfortunate injury taking out Sophie Bulmer.
Sophie has made incredible progress in her skill as WA, consistently taking on feedback and always giving her absolute best to improve.
We look forward to hopefully welcoming Sophie back in time for finals.
Peggy was able to cohesively work with attackers Indi Conallin and Khoa Unwin, supporting clean flow and transition up the court.
Shooting duo Madeline Woolston and Madison Danckert were two peas in a pod, using an unspoken chemistry to consistently outplay and manoeuvre around their defenders.
Defensive team Lara Redden, Meg Meharry and Isabelle Didcock continue to hold our defensive line with grit and determination, going for every ball and keeping their opponents from scoring.

The girls are really finding their rhythm, with their passages of play flowing smoothly down the court.
