Across four sessions, The Resilience Canopy Practitioner Training Program equips participants with the skills to facilitate their own resilience initiatives as community practitioners.
Community practitioners support others through The Resilience Canopy’s six-step model, leading initiatives to strengthen their communities with the support of mentors and experts.
“Once they complete the four sessions, they will be actually qualified as a community practitioner,” GMCL programs co-ordinator Kimberley Chu said.
“So in the future, if they want to deliver the training in their own community, that they would have the skills, and they would also have the resources supported by The Resilience Canopy to do that.”
Key skills participants will be guided on include prioritising and securing resources during emergencies, applicable to a range of areas including heath, climate and social inclusion.
The sessions will be hosted through a hybrid model:
Wednesday, July 23 from 9.30am to noon via Zoom
Wednesday, July 30 from 9.30am to 4.30pm at Bendigo TAFE, Echuca Campus
Thursday, July 31 from 9.30am to 4.30pm at Bendigo TAFE, Echuca Campus
Tuesday, August 5 from 9.30am to noon via Zoom
