Both documents will guide outcomes the council will aim to achieve over the next four years and beyond.
Mayor Garner Smith thanked all residents who have had their say on the documents so far, which will influence the council’s work.
“My fellow councillors, council staff and I heard from more than 700 residents of all ages about their community’s strengths and challenges,” he said.
“This information (is) pivotal to the development of our next Council Plan and Community Vision.”
The draft version of the plan includes goals on liveability, growth and sustainability in the region, and incorporates public health and wellbeing.
Feedback is also being sought on the community vision document, which outlines community priorities over the next 15 years.
