The Meninya St business was officially launched under the new ownership on Friday, August 22 with a community barbecue held to mark the occasion.
Suppliers, clients and tradespeople gathered to hear from new owners Nic and Andrew Sim, who acknowledged previous owner Leigh Henson’s hard work.
“We respect what you built, and it’s a privilege to carry it forward,” Nic said.
“I’m proud of what’s been achieved, and excited for what’s ahead.”
CED Group purchased the business after Leigh decided to take a step back from operations, allowing the group to expand.

Nic thanked the team for trusting CED Group through the transition, and assured them they would be supported in their career and growth.
Echuca-Moama resident Jamie Maddison has been appointed operations manager, bringing over 15 years of trade experience to the team.
“This branch is led by Jamie and a great team around him who care. A local, respected, and capable leader,” Nic said.
“But he’s not on his own. Behind him stand Andrew, myself, our 14 leaders, and every person who proudly wears the CED logo.”

Of future plans, Nic said the group would be focusing on building its reputation in town, and putting time into training employees to shore up the business.
Opportunities in renewable energy are one area of interest, which Nic said accounted for a significant portion of the group’s trade.
“Renewables are really big, and something that we don’t do here. It would be 25 per cent of our business,” he said.
“That’s something we’re definitely going to bring across to here. Money’s tight, so it’s really important we add value to everything we do.”
New signage has been installed at the Moama storefront, now CED Group Echuca Moama, and the business remains a network member of O’Brien.
