Although the club swims year-round, the warmer months are the perfect opportunity to get involved with the Echuca Swim Club.
Club members practise regularly at the Echuca War Memorial Aquatic Centre, with the club catering to fitness or competitively minded swimmers.
Part of Swimming Victoria’s District 15, the club takes part in swim meets around the Central Victorian region and will host its major meet for the year on October 19.
At the track
Several major race meets come to Echuca over the spring and summer.
Punters can celebrate Melbourne Cup Day at Echuca Racing Club, with a local day of racing corresponding with the race that stops the nation.
The club also holds a New Year’s Eve meet, while Echuca Harness Racing Club gets in on the action on New Year’s Day.
Trots fans can then catch the club’s main meet, the Easter Cup, on Easter Sunday, April 5.
