The Cats’ 15-and-under netballers continued their perfect year in the qualifying semi-final, handily accounting for White Hills 57-42 at Colbinabbin Recreation Reserve.
The Demons still have a second chance, next taking on Huntly for a shot at LBU in the decider.
The Cats’ 13-and-under side has had a similarly dominant season, maintaining its unbeaten run with victory over Colbinabbin, 18-15.
Colbo will face Elmore in the preliminary final after the Bloods ended Leitchville-Gunbower’s year 25-19 in the elimination final at Lockington Recreation Reserve.
The Bombers’ only other hope was in 17-and-under, where they too bowed out, unable to match White Hills in a 28-46 result.
LBU’s B-grade side had less success against Mt Pleasant, falling 55-46 to end its season.
In football, the Cats’ reserves were sent home 11.3 (69) to 7.5 (47) by Huntly, but the thirds fight on after a 16.10 (106) to 7.0 (42) win over Heathcote.
Top grades
Kasey Conder’s Colbinabbin side booked its place in the A-grade grand final.
The fights for the senior and A-grade flags are heating up, highlighted by an upset win by Mt Pleasant in the seniors.
The Mighty Mounts took down minor premier North Bendigo 8.15 (63) to 8.9 (57) in the qualifying final, punching their grand final ticket.
The Bulldogs will now take on Colbinabbin, which accounted for Huntly 11.12 (78) to 9.10 (64) in the preliminary final.
It was business as usual in A-grade, unbeaten Colbinabbin rolling straight into the grand final with a 61-40 win over White Hills.
The Demons now face a preliminary final against Mt Pleasant, which got through Huntly 59-39.
The preliminary finals will be played at Elmore Recreation Reserve.
