The reptile house is to be constructed on the same site as its previous location after the original building was demolished towards the end of 2020.
On-site building has commenced with an external building “shed” currently being put up.
A detailed design of the internal fit-out of the building has been completed and council is now seeking a contractor for the internal fit-out.

All works are to be undertaken Monday to Friday, 7am to 5pm, with no work to occur on Sundays or public holidays. Work may occur on Saturdays when needed.
Works at the Kyabram Fauna Park will be undertaken with an “element of flexibility” to ensure park operation is not affected.
The contractor will limit noisy work where possible, and keep vibration and dust to a minimum during construction.
Contractor vehicles will be entering and exiting the site from the Beech St entrance.
The contractor is also required to ensure that the site is secure and safe at all times.
At a minimum this shall include a temporary fence to enclose all progressive works. Temporary fencing is to be supplied by council and is already in place at the site.
The park operates under a Committee of Management. The CoM has representatives from Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning, Campaspe Shire Council and Zoos Victoria.
Kyabram Fauna Park has been a much-loved community asset for over 40 years and has grown to become the second largest collection of Australian fauna in Victoria.
