In partnership with Community for Echuca Moama, Women of the Murray is inviting all local women to join them for their ‘Brave not Perfect’ event on Friday, October 17.
Women of the Murray founder Stacey Dick said the event was a chance for women to have open conversations in a safe space.
“It’s about breaking down the barriers of things that women most likely don’t feel comfortable talking about ... that a lot of us will feel alone in, but the reality is we definitely are not,” she said.
“So Brave Not Perfect is about bringing women together in a safe space (where) everyone is there just to support you.
“By telling your story, you may inspire, help, educate someone else, which sparks a ripple effect. They might get the confidence or to speak up about something to influence positive change.”

Brave not Perfect held its first event in Cobram, in July, with women of all ages and backgrounds gathering at O’Reilly’s Food and Wine Bar.
After a successful initial outing, events were also held in Yarrawonga and Shepparton.
At each event, attendees heard from guest speakers while enjoying light finger food and refreshments.
Throughout the evening, women networked with other attendees and shared their own life experiences.
Mrs Dick said she wanted the focus to be on making genuine connections with the other women, regardless of background or age.
“I’m not with the expectation to be very flashy or high end ... it’s all about the actual connection and what the conversation is at our events,” she said.
“It’s very important to me to not put a business or professional label on it, as a network, purely because I want those women in agriculture and dairy to feel included ... It’s literally for everyone, at all different ages.”
