In the seniors, a breakthrough title last year has bred more success at Congupna and it is looking to power to an unbeaten title defence this time around.
“It's obviously a really big effort to make it again, but we know that's only half the job,” Congupna coach Ben Bingham said.
“It’s a bit different to last year; we go in there with a bit more freedom this year with that monkey off the back.”
Squaring up to Congupna will be Cobram, which did it the hard way with gruelling finals wins over quality opposition.
The Tigers knocked off Nathalia, Moama and Mulwala in consecutive elimination finals, and can complete their collection of top-five scalps with an unlikely triumph over The Road.
Nathalia will have a tall task ahead of it against Rumbalara.

Rumbalara hasn’t dropped a game on-court for two years and prevailed by 12 goals in the qualifying final, an ominous sign for the Purples.
Nathalia has been the standout number two all year, only dropping games to Rumba, but will need an almighty effort to change the narrative on the final day.
