The workshop was facilitated by the acclaimed Southern Voices conductor Sharon Batterham and attracted around 70 participants from all over Victoria and NSW.
Ms Batterham was also accompanied by 19 of the Southern Voices choir members.
The choir have performed on many major stages, and most recently won two gold medals and a silver at the Bali International Choral Festival.
Their repertoire includes everything from classical works to contemporary hits.
Echuca Bellas musical director Marion Heywood said the workshop run by the choir was very informative.
“(Sharon’s) fantastic — she’s funny, she just teaches you so much, but in a really fun and light sort of atmosphere. It was just lovely,” she said.
“It’s mainly about learning the songs and just giving us really great information if you’re singing in a choir or teaching about your voice and all different things that you can do to help you as a singer.
“They put on a really good workshop ... it was an easy way to learn songs because you had all that support.”
Following the workshop, guests enjoyed a shared meal catered by the Gunbower District Development Group.
From 3pm, Southern Voices accompanied the Echuca Bellas to the Echuca Moama Uniting Church to put on a concert for the community.
All 70 workshop participants performed the songs they had worked on during the workshop.
Southern Voices then took to the stage and performed various different songs, showcasing their talent and range.
Mrs Heywood’s twin sister, Karen Noonan, also made an appearance at the concert to accompany the Echuca Bellas on the piano for their final performances.

Mrs Heywood said the concert was a successful afternoon for all involved.
“It was a fantastic concert,” she said.
“Southern Voices was the main concert and they are fantastic.
“The Echuca Bellas supported them, and we sang three songs, which went over really well.
“There was a real variety of songs, and it was a great concert, everyone really enjoyed it.”
The Echuca Bellas have grown over the years and currently have around 30 members.
They meet every Monday from 7pm to 9pm at the Federal Band Hall on High St.
