Council workshops offer more flexibility to set aside time to catch up with local communities.
Murray River Council Mayor John Harvie said there was value in travelling to different towns for meetings.
“It’s a great chance for all councillors to get out and about to different areas of the council and see local projects, issues or developments first-hand,” he said.
“Visiting other locations also gives our community the opportunity to check-in with their councillors and gives us a chance to personally engage with local residents.”
Community members are invited to attend lunch on October 7 with the councillors for an informal meet-and-greet at the Mathoura Visitor and Business Centre from noon to 1pm.
A light lunch will be provided.
Supplier information sessions
Murray River Council is inviting local businesses and contractors to attend upcoming supplier information sessions.
Through the sessions, participants will be able to meet council’s procurement team, learn about the procurement process, learn tips for preparing and submitting proposals, join council’s supplier lists and learn about opportunities to work with council.
The sessions are particularly valuable for suppliers who are not yet registered on VendorPanel and may need assistance navigating the new system.
Sessions will be held at:
Moama: Moama Pavilion, 52 Perricoota Rd on Wednesday, October 8, from 5pm.
Moulamein: Moulamein Bowling Club, Endeavour Dve, Moulamein on Monday, October 13, from 3pm.
