The immersive experience, coordinated by Goulburn Murray Community Leadership, saw the group welcomed by a range of parliamentary members and staff.
Participants had the privilege to hear directly from State Member for Murray Plains Peter Walsh, and Members for Northern Victoria Gaelle Broad, Rikkie-Lee Tyrrell, and Wendy Lovell.
The visit included a guided tour of Parliament House, attendance at question time, and group discussion on leadership, representations, and the challenges of public office.

Program members were able to ask questions, exchange experiences, and gain a better understanding of the responsibilities involved in state leadership.
An eye-opening event for many, participant Maree Harris noted the amount of sacrifice required for leadership.
“It requires a strong support network around you. Bringing your passion to the table, understanding what your community needs, and building relationships are key,” she said.
Now in its 29th year, the Fairley Leadership Program aims to empower and connect leaders from across the Goulburn-Murray region.
