Works will begin on Monday, October 20 and should take five days, weather permitting.
Traffic management will be in place, including reduced speeds and traffic controllers managing alternating traffic flow across the bridge during work hours.
Guarding rail will be upgraded to meet current safety standards to both bridge approaches at Sevens Creek Road bridge, along Raftery Road in Kialla.
Drivers should plan for minor delays and consider using Mitchell Rd to the Goulburn Valley Hwy as an alternative route where possible.
The works will bring guard railing at both bridge approaches up to current safety standards.
Greater Shepparton City Council has apologised for any disruption and thanked residents for their patience while the renewal works are completed.
