Detective Senior Constable Anthony De Cicco said a man entered the gift store on MacIsaac Rd allegedly carrying a knife and wearing a skeleton mask and all black clothing at 3.44pm.
The victim screamed and ran into the back room, and the man left without stealing anything, Det Sen Constable De Cicco said.
His female co-accused, who he is in a relationship with, had allegedly gone into the store earlier, asking if they took cash or card, Det Sen Constable De Cicco said.
When the victim confirmed the store only accepted cash, the woman said she’d get cash out, however the man then walked in, according to police.
They allegedly fled in a white Mazda 6 sedan that had false number plates.
Police alleged the store was trading as an illegal tobacco shop.
