Mayor Daniel Mackrell said the strategy sets out a bold vision for the future of visitor servicing in the region.
“In the digital age we need to complement traditional information centres with a dynamic, customer-led approach that inspires, connects and delivers exceptional visitor experiences across every stage of the travel journey,” he said.
“We ultimately aim to increase repeat visitation, boost regional spend and strengthen industry collaboration, positioning Campaspe as a regional tourism leader.”
Over the past year, the strategy development process has included in-person workshops, digital experience reviews, Visitor Information Centre experience audits and a stakeholder perception survey with over 45 responses.
Consultation and collaboration has been with local tourism operators, community groups, First Nations representatives, Murray River Council and regional partners, among others.
The document is now available for public review, and feedback is welcome to ensure the strategy reflects the needs and aspirations of the wider community.
