Campaspe Shire Council is calling for nominations for the 2026 Citizen of the Year Awards, celebrating individuals and community groups who make significant contributions to the local community.
With nominations closing on Sunday, November 2, Mayor Daniel Mackrell emphasised the importance of recognising local heroes.
“We’re in the final days to nominate someone whose efforts deserve to be recognised,” he said.
“Whether it’s a neighbour, volunteer, young leader or a dedicated community group, these awards are a chance to say thank you and shine a light on those who make our community special.”
The awards include three categories: Campaspe Citizen of the Year, Campaspe Young Citizen of the Year, and Community Group of the Year.
Nominees must reside within Campaspe Shire.
Residents can submit nominations online at campaspe.vic.gov.au/nowopen or collect hard copy forms from council customer service centres.
