The fence covered in thousands of bras is a reminder of the power of community, one that rallied behind the Nikolovski family after the death of Wendy in 2017.
The Bra Fence supplies locals with fuel cards if they have to travel for cancer treatments and has become an iconic symbol of brash unity for the Timbercutter town.
Clay Shooting Victoria director Lee Fitzgerald, Travis Williams, Kim Thompson and Sam Durna were all smiles at the event.

In 2022, the committee of Mathoura Gun Club came together to improve the club and make it more community-minded.
With one of the member’s wives having just beaten cancer, the committee thought it was a perfect way to celebrate and as such, the pink shoot was born.
Committee members Ash Boal, Jack Carroll, Brian Winter, Dan Humphreys, Kathy Mackenzie, Scott Mackenzie and Rob Nelson were thrilled with how the event turned out.

The club had the canteen open and held some raffles to help raise money alongside a full day of shooting — headlined by overall winner Stephen Ash from Kerang.
Mathoura Gun Club president Jack Carroll reflected on the event and said he was humbled by the turnout and support from multiple club and community members.
Peter Attard and Stephen Atkins had a good day on the shooting line.

“We had a cracking turn up, it was equal to the one last year with 47 competitors,” he said.
“Everyone was in pink and getting among it, there was some great competition too.
Even the competitiors donned pink garments for the day

“There were many locals who came out to help support the raffles, so it was a really good turnout, not just from the shooting, but from the community as well.
“It’s very humbling to give back to the community. And your community, so it’s good to see how people get behind an event like this and support us in it.
“The support from all the local clubs was unreal, we had six or seven different clubs come and help out through the day, which was brilliant, and putting their hands in their pocket especially with how tight things are.”
The event had a great turnout.
