As pre-season for 2026 nears, young Goulburn Valley prodigies vying for selection in the esteemed Talent League pathway have learned whether they’ll pull on the black, indigo and gold into the new year.
An extended pre-season squad has been determined for the youngest Talent League age bracket, with both girls and boys lists revealed for the under-16 age category.
The Shepparton Swans have the right to be excited by its youth coming through the ranks, with seven red and white junior boys named in the Murray pre-season squad, as well as two girls also set to represent Princess Park-grown talent.
However, Shepparton United lead the charge for girls talent, with five Demons selected into the Bushrangers line-up, the most of any club from the Goulburn Valley region.
Shepparton Notre features two boys, while Cobram, Mansfield and Tatura each have two representatives as well.
Benalla, Congupna and Violet Town all have a single player named, while Nathalia has produced three talents in the squad.
