Another week in the Campaspe Area Weekend Pennant and there was limited success on the greens. Division Four was the only division to win the premiership points when they collared the Kyvalley View bowlers to the tune of 83 shots to 23.
Division Three were at home to play Deniliquin and lost 49-66 with just the one rink up. (John Fisher d. C Crothers 21-14; Steve Pavone lost to T Danckert 17-21; Leanne McInnes lost to S Vesty 11-31).
Division Four hosted Kyabram Valley View and collected all rinks in a mammoth result of 83 shots to 33, with the opposition missing several players. (Shane Felmingham d. R Donohue 28-8; Cindy Felmingham d. R Varcoe 25-15; Denise Gilmore d. G Topp 30-10).

Players contested a game of 2x4x2 Pairs and enjoyed the experience. The winning Pair were Ashley Dobell and Jeff Carnie two wins plus 16 shots, ahead of Terrill Westwood - Rod Fiedler two wins plus seven shots.
The last game between Peter Standl and Rod Fiedler was highlighted by one end showing 10 of the 16 bowls in the Yardstick - plenty of chooks.
On the tournament circuit, two of our top women bowlers competed in the Medley Pairs event at the Shepparton Park Bowls Club, attracting a high-quality field featuring most of the leading bowlers in the Goulburn Valley.

Three games of ten ends. Entries by Monday, November 17 to Kathi Maddison phone or text 0428862347 or Denise Gilmore 0422 819 027.
Rochester Golf Club
A smaller Wednesday group than normal spent the first half hour looking at the threatening skies and discussing whether to risk playing nine holes before the expected change.
Shortly after the first group approached their second hole on the back nine, the strong wind and rain made an unwelcome appearance, by that stage those groups who had started on the 16th headed back to the clubhouse after completing only three holes.
Greg Watkins led the hardy group of golfers to finished their round, winning with 21 points on a countback from inform golfer in Les Hedington, next best was Kevin McCormick (20) and visitor Damien Eade on 19 points. Hedington also took out the nearest-the-pin on 12 and the 16th went to Shane Bywaters.
Playing in nicer conditions, Saturday was the fourth round of the end-of-season Stableford event, Steve Bubb finally put together a solid 18 holes to win with 41 points.
Young Will Coghill, who has been playing well over the last few weeks, was runner-up on 39 points.
Ball winners were David Gebbie, Robert Ralph, and Chris Trewin all on 37 Stableford points.
David Gebbie (3), Bruce Bryant (5 and 16), Grant Robinson (8), Ralph (18) and Les Hedington were the lucky winner on the 12th Campaspe News Eagles Nest.
Apologies to Liam Keenan as this correspondent had him winning the club's Singles Match Play Championship a few week's back, however all is forgiven as he did, in fact, win on Saturday by beating Mike Austin 3/2.
The 2025 Presentation evening was held last Sunday, with the major awards going to the following players;
Ladies Champion, Louise Williams, who also won the Stroke Average over three selected rounds and the Ladies count the putts competition.
Karen Taylor was the runner-up Ladies Champion. Barb McCarty was the popular winner for the overall best score in the Par events for the year.
Helen Ingram won the Stableford Trophy for her best three rounds over the season, also tying with Williams in the Monthly medal play-off.
New member in Lauren Coghill won the Captain's award for the most improved over the 2025 season.
Once again, the club's best Men golfers in Jake Wright and Shane Bywaters fought it out to take out the Championship.
Wright prevailed over By waters to win his second consecutive title. By waters was not to be outdone, playing solid golf to win the best Par rounds over three nominated events.
Returning after many years away from golf, Murray Schier won the B-grade title, while Shane Connelly won the four-ball Match Play Championship partnering with Grant Robinson.
A new golfer in Corey Windridge took out the C-grade Championship, and Mark Walsh was the Stableford trophy winner on 119 points.
President Leigh thanked and congratulated all the winners and for the many unpaid volunteers who have prepared the course over the last 12 months, sighting the increase in players with over 300 participating in the last month alone as evidenced of the club's popularity.
